Buffalo River Trading supplies various horticulture and animal products produced on our farm in North East Victoria. The farm is situated at the foothills of the Victorian alpine region of the Great Dividing range, 3 hours drive from Melbourne, at the base of Mt. Buffalo.
Fortunately the farm in next to the Buffalo River so we are never short of water. The fishing is not too bad but the swimming is excellent.
There are plenty of birds of all varieties plus wombats, wallabies and Deer to see.
We have a great Studio apartment available if you would like to come and stay.

The farm was the first tobacco farm in the Buffalo River valley and I have met many neighbours who tell me stories of working in the farmshed when they were young. Some bits of the old kilns are still visible around the farmshed.
The farm was converted to a chestnut farm over 50 years ago when tobacco growing ceased on this property.
I rejuvenated the chestnut orchard 17 years ago, top-dressing the large trees with modern varieties.
I added an Alpaca herd 5 years ago to help manage the grass. My family and I have enjoyed learning how to live with Alpacas and even to assist with troublesome births, various illnesses, giving vitamin injections and shearing and drenching.
The Alpaca herd has revitalised the farm and I have had much pleasure learning how to manage and sustain the herd. I now spend most of my time working with Alpaca products.
I think the doonas are going to sell really well. Everybody loves them so far. Graeme
